Queer and Performance

The last seminar of the academic year will be focusing on Queer and Performance and will feature the following three papers:

Kate Pelling (Birkbeck College, University of London)
'In Pursuit of Elvis: Performativity and Authenticity in Elvis Impersonation.'

Katherine Watson (Roehampton, University of London)
'Feminism has at last tinged the ballet' (Shackleton, 1925)
The Feminist and Queer Potentialities of Bronislava Nijinska (1891-1972)

Alison Bancroft (Queen Mary, University of London)
Title to be announced but the paper will contain Lacan
